Oldonyio Sambu and Chulu hills can be seen in the far distance. The Merrueshi plains are 4 miles away from Chulu National Park. The plains serve as a corridor for wildlife, migrating between Amboseli and Chulu National Parks. The plains contain the best salty pools in southeastern Kenya.
